Lynn Marie Johnson

WAUCEDAH TOWNSHIP — Lynn Marie Johnson of Waucedah Township, 67, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born June 8, 1953, the daughter of Will and Betty Swanson.

She was the beloved wife of David Johnson; mom to Shawn (Rachel) Johnson and Andra (Chris) Pietrantonio; proud grandma to Gabe, Sami, Alexandra, Elizabeth and Luke Johnson, Elle and Macy Pietrantonio; sister of Gary (Marsha) Swanson, Judy (Steve) Peterson; daughter-in-law of Marie Johnson, sister-in-law to Debbie (Steve) Altobelli and Bob Johnson.

She is preceded in death by mom, Betty Swanson; sister, Debbie Sadorf; brother, Donnie Swanson and father-in-law, Buck Johnson.

Lynn loved life, especially on The Farm with her high school sweetheart and the love of her life David. She loved family and friends gatherings at “The Farm” which became her sanctuary. She was so grateful for all of God’s blessings and all given her, over the years.

Covid brings bitter sweet memories. We were unable to travel, but it gave us more uninterrupted time with loved ones. Lynn cherished the picnic lunches with her Dad Willie, and David. Lunches were simple but filled with stories from the past, hopes for the future and the blessings we have in the now. Thank YOU LORD.

Lynn retired from the VA Hospital as an RN and was honored to care for our veterans. She loved helping care for people in the community who needed help in their homes with ostomy care, dressing changes etc.

Lynn was an avid reader, loved sudoku and Scrabble with her kids and making puzzles, playing Yahtzee, Bananogram and cards with David and grandkids. Lynn was an avid Packer Fan. Go Pack Go!!

Cutting grass gave her great satisfaction and working in her flower gardens gave her time for reflection. She loved the many road trips made with David, always on the lookout for eagles, and often a visit from the kids at Florida destinations. Lynn and Dave collected birdhouses and had a beautiful array of “suns.” With faith and sun there is always a ray of hope.

Her illness presented many challenges over time: the words of Garth Brooks says it best, “And now I’m glad I didn’t know. The way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain, But I ‘d a had to miss the dance.”

Thank you to Father Tim, Father Mike, Dr. Kristie Olson and staff, Dr. Morel and staff. The unending support and help from family and friends. Thank you, Dickinson Home Health.

Per Lynn’s request services will be private.
