Keith A. Tuhowski

He was born Oct. 13, 1954, in Chicago, son of George and Jean (Chmiel) Tuhowski. Keith grew up in Chicago and was a graduate of Kelly High School, class of 1972. He later received his associate degree from Southwest College in Chicago, graduating in 1974.

Keith married his high school sweetheart, Helene Wengel, on Oct. 18, 1975, at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea in Chicago. Following marriage, they became members of the church. Keith was an entrepreneur owning several businesses. His passion for construction at a young age left trademark structures nationwide.

In addition to being a muscle car enthusiast, Keith was an avid outdoorsman. Trophy bucks from the U.P. aligned his game room wall. Keith was in his element when in the U.P. The affection for water interests began on Chicagoan Lake during the summertime as a kid and throughout his adult years, which is now instilled in his son and grandchildren. Family was everything to Keith. He will be remembered for always putting others first.

Survivors include his loving wife, Helene Tuhowski; two sons, Wes (Michelle) Tuhowski and Brian (Jennifer) Tuhowski; two grandchildren, Trinity and Koen Tuhowski; his mother, Jean Tuhowski; two brothers, George Tuhowski III and Mark (Donna) Tuhowski; and three sisters, Georgine Klettke, Gayle Hilton, and Dawn Tuhowski.

In accordance with Keith’s wishes, private family services will be held.
