KINGSFORD — Beverlee Mae Gardiner, 95, of Kingsford died Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Wis.

Beverlee was born Sept. 8, 1925, to the late Albert and Illabelle (Cleveland) Mitchell in Iron Mountain.

She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1944. Beverlee worked for Boeing Aircraft and later as Dr. Lorn Johnson’s optometric assistant for many years.

Beverlee spent her free time doing the things she enjoyed: playing her favorite card games (bridge and 500), spending time with the family that she loved so much, and being with her dogs Barney, Nicky, and her last dog, Major.

Beverlee is survived by her brother, Brian (Carolyn) Mitchell of Indiana; and two grandchildren, Darrin “DJ” Mattson of Wisconsin and Mark Mattson of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred “Ding” Gardiner; daughter, Constance; and sister, Karen (Chuck) Brooks.

Visitation will be held today from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford with Fr. Joe Gouin officiating.
