Linda K. Fornetti

Linda was born in Norway, on Aug. 1, 1946, the daughter of the late Pat and Virginia (Wiles) Waterman. She grew up in Ohio and graduated from Waterford High School. After graduation, her family moved to Pembine, Wis. Linda worked as a secretary at the Wisconsin Electric Power Company in Iron Mountain. Linda met the love of her life, Dave Fornetti, and they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Jan. 14, 2022.

Linda was active in her community, volunteering at the Dickinson County Hospital and DCH for 35 years. She was a member of Redemption Hill. She enjoyed outdoor activities and was a member of the Oak Crest Golf Course and the United Sportsman’s Club. She helped teach country dancing at the Premier when it was popular. For years she helped in the Awana program at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Linda leaves behind her loving husband, Dave Fornetti; daughters, Sandi (Tom) Tollefson of Lindstrom, Minn., and Sara (Erik) Kleiman of Iron Mountain; grandchildren, Aidan, Kiernan, Fiona and Riley Tollefson, Amanda, Jürgen, Anja, and Jäeger Kleiman; sister, Beverly (Jim) Alfonso of Antigo, Wis.; brothers, Ford (Vicki) Waterman of Kingsford, and Dave (Elaine) Waterman of Hayden, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, David Fornetti, mother-in-law, Nelda (Cerasoli) Fornetti, and nephew, Paul Waterman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16 from 9 until 11 a.m. at Redemption Hill Church in Kingsford. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Ron Wolfe and Pastor Alex Tunnicliff will officiate. Burial will be at the Quinnesec Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tom, Aidan and Kiernan Tollefson and Erik, Jürgen and Jäeger Kleiman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Amanda and Anja Kleiman and Fiona and Riley Tollefson.
