Jeffrey LaPlaunt

Jeffrey was born April 14, 1966, in Sault. Ste. Marie, the son of the late Brian and Patricia (Harrison) LaPlaunt. He graduated from high school and married Tracy Gustafson.

A hard-working family man, Jeffrey was employed at Toro Co. and enjoyed camping, playing board games, reading novels, particularly science fiction, and telling corny jokes. He loved his Detroit teams and especially loved his dog, often posting pictures on Facebook. Most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy; two daughters, Casey LaPlaunt and Katie (Colin) Parish; three brothers, Michael LaPlaunt, Thomas Leask and Daniel Leask; and numerous in-laws; nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jeffrey is preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Leask.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, at Mission Covenant Church in Foster City. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Kyle Henderson officiating.
