DEKALB, Ill. — Olive Quist, 83, of DeKalb, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill.
She was born Feb. 3, 1939, in Florence, Wis., the daughter of Richard and Celia (Erickson) Brolin. Olive married Keith Oscar Quiston May 27, 1960, in Chicago.
Olive was a Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed casinos, traveling, spending time with family and summers in Wisconsin.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Karen) Quist of Kenosha, Wis., Tracey (James) Fergin of Burlington, Ill. and Scott Quist of Carrollton, Texas; five grandchildren, Jordan (Jack) Hamilton, Brett and Tyler Fergin, and Sean and Matthew Quist; great-granddaughter, Isabel Hamilton; sister-in-law, Lois Holland of Washington, Iowa; numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.
The memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Commonwealth, Wis.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 5 p.m.at the funeral home.
