Helen Nantell

She was born in Deshler, Ohio, on Sept. 28, 1930, daughter of the late Earl and Virga (Longacre) Snyder. Helen was raised by her grandparents, John and Ida (Snyder) William. She worked for the old hospital and many of the local hotels and was a cherished member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford.

Helen will be missed by many dear friends, including Hope Steinmetz (step granddaughter), Karen Kollmann, and Earl Snyder; and a sister-in-law, Barbara (Donald) Ruthsatz of West Allis, WI.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Helen is preceded in death by two siblings, Edwin Snyder and Velma Pollack.

Visitation will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 420 W. Breitung Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, with Rev. Matthew Ruesch officiating the funeral service at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Memorial Park in Wells.

Helen’s family would like to thank Dr. Groeneveld and the staffs of OSF Home Healthcare & Hospice and Bellin Memorial Hospital of Green Bay for their excellent care and support. They would also like to thank Helen’s caregivers, Irene, Amy and Brenda for helping Helen to remain at home.
