She is survived by a daughter, Donnette (Peter) DeRossi of Green Bay, Wis.; a stepson, Randy (Carol) Cheney of Niagara, Wis.; a brother, Duane Pollock of Kingsford; a sister, JoAnn Ritt of Westfield, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Pollock and Joanne LaPointe, grandchildren, Andra (Andrew) Woods of Green Bay and Megan (Troy) Meissner of Pembine, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Drew Woods, Noah (Bailey) Siedsma, Elena, Caleb, Rachel, Autumn, Greta, Peter and Titus Meissner; great-great grandchild, Eliyana Siedsma. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to parents and husband she was preceded in death by infant sister, Beverly; sister, Arlene Showinsky; and brother, Clifford Pollock Jr.

On June 15, 1946, she married Howard LaPointe. They divorced after 25 years. In 1982 she married Ralph Cheney. They lived in Niagara until the time of his death in 2000. For the last 17 years she lived in Evergreen Heights facilities.

Although the last several years were challenging due to dementia and the effects of aging, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and most recently great-great grandmother.

She was a member of First Covenant Church for many years where she faithfully served in various ministries. A favorite Bible verse is 2nd Timothy 1:7. Elaine and Ralph enjoyed hosting visiting missionaries and many friends. They were hospitable to all and always ready to serve coffee and apple pie.

She was a faithful witness and her biggest goal was to see everyone she knew come to the Lord and spend eternity in heaven. She is there now and we are rejoicing with her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain and on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the First Covenant Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Chad Harrison will officiate. Entombment will be in Nicolet Memorial Park in Green Bay.
