From Glenn A. Anderson, Iron Mountain:
During the day on June 15, I watched a newborn fawn about 20 feet from my home under a large maple tree. It remained still all day.
That night, a car with its lights on from the parking lot at East Elementary shined a light to help protect the fawn from about 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day.
In the morning, the doe had picked up her fawn.
Hats off to the person who stayed up all night watching over the fawn. You are my hero!
