Pedersen grabs Big Ten tight end award

December 17, 2012 - Burt Angeli
Menominee’s Jacob Pedersen received the Big Ten Conference’s Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year honor.

That’s no surprise considering the University of Wisconsin is something of a tight end factory with the likes of Travis Beckum, Garrett Graham and Lance Kendricks.

"I looked up to those guys," Pedersen told the Big Ten Network. "Being able to continue the success here at Wisconsin, using multiple tight ends in almost all of our sets, that's a big thing. I'm honored to be able to carry that on and try and make a name for myself."

Pedersen is second on the team with 26 receptions and four touchdown catches.

The Badgers make their third consecutive appearance in the Rose Bowl on Monday, Jan. 1.
