Bears Without Urlacher Hard to Swallow

March 22, 2013 - Theresa Proudfit
In my opinion the Chicago Bears have always had a strong defense. One of the best in the NFL. It's probably the reason I've loved the Bears for so many years. When I'm asked to picture a strong defender Brian Urlacher's face pops into my head.

Urlacher leaving Chicago saddens me. His injury was big. Maybe career ending, no one knows for sure yet. But the thought of him finishing his career with another team brings tears to my eyes.

Although I certainly wasn't ready for him to retire the thought of him out there bouncing around like Favre looking for someone to take him is nauseating. Urlacher is a legendary player not to mention my favorite in the league, he deserves a little more respect.

My heart is broken and the wound is fresh, but I'm not quite sure what jersey I'll be wearing come fall.
