Maroons, "Richie" at the top of their games

November 6, 2013 - Burt Angeli
Just how am I supposed to win a Pulitzer when Tom (Richie) Kaeser is turning out game leads like this:

“Houghton crashed head on into 120 years of Menominee football tradition and 48 minutes of Maroon shock and awe Saturday afternoon at Walton Blesch Field.”

Menominee rolled into the district final by bashing Houghton 63-6. The Maroons held a 35-0 lead after 12 plays.

“What an experience for our kids to see what the storied Menominee program is all about,” Houghton Coach Karl Borree said. “They’re first class. They were well mannered. They weren’t cheap.”
