Green Bay next for state tourney?

March 18, 2012 - Burt Angeli
Wisconsin’s state high school basketball tournament may move from Madison to Green Bay. Milwaukee King Coach Jim Gosz will welcome the change, according to Madison.com. “I’ll be the first one up in Green Bay,” Gosz said after King’s 72-69 Division 1 finals loss to Germantown. “I think it will be great to go up to Green Bay. I think Green Bay will do a great job.

“Walk along State Street (in Madison), I don’t think anyone knew there was a state tournament going on here today. I think maybe a change is needed. We need to have a Final Four experience where the town embraces it. If Madison doesn’t want us, come on Green Bay, let’s go.”
