NORWAY - Norway celebrated senior night with a pair of wins here Tuesday, downing Mid-Peninsula foe Ishpeming 25-14, 25-18, 25-13, and beating Stephenson 25-12, 25-20.
"This was a great way for our team to honor our seniors," Knights head coach Nicole Anderson said. "Everyone had fun, played with heart and intensity, and the final outcome could not have been better.
"It was so nice to see this turn around in the girls and I could not be prouder of them. They have been working extremely hard to put all the pieces together and tonight was one huge step in the right direction."

Seniors Bailey Grayvold and Heather Evosevich provided big efforts for the Knights. Grayvold totaled seven aces, seven kills and eight digs, while Evosevich had seven aces, eight digs and seven kills. Evosevich collected five of her aces in the match against Ishpeming. Six of Grayvold's digs were against Hematites.
"Our seniors, Bailey Grayvold and Heather Evosevich, have been the backbone of our team all season," Anderson said. "Both of these girls played wonderfully tonight and led our team. They both will be missed."
Lexi Negro added 12 digs on the night, and Leah Mattson totaled 15 kills.
Norway's jayvees posted a split, falling to Stephenson 16-25, 9-25, 10-15, while defeating Ishpeming 25-23, 25-16, 16-14.
Norway plays at West Iron County Monday.

ROCK - North Dickinson claimed a 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-11) Skyline volleyball win against Mid Peninsula here Tuesday evening.
Coach Sandy Haustein's Nordics were led by Miranda Jacobson's 12 kills. Chelsey Stroud also added 7 kills.
"We weren't really hitting early," Haustein said. "And serve receive killed us in the second set, but the hitters came around in that last set."
Jacobson's totals also included 100-percent serving with five aces. Stroud put down nine ace serves.
"Hopefully we're getting back on track with districts coming up in a few weeks," Haustein noted.
North Dickinson plays at Bark River-Harris Thursday.
