The Daily News welcomes letters expressing views of readers on matters of community concern.
Letters should be kept as brief and must include the writer's full, legal name, address and telephone number where the writer can be reached during normal business hours.
"Open letters" to other individuals are published only if they are written as a Letter to the Editor.
The Daily News reserves the right to edit letters for length, grammar, potentially libelous statements and personal attacks. The Daily News reserves the right to refuse to publish questionable letters. Names of writers will not be withheld.
No election letters are published within a week of an election. Letters cannot be returned.
