Kind and helpful

The Daily News

EDITOR:

My husband was injured in a construction accident and taken to the Dickinson County Health Care Emergency room.

He received excellent, compassionate care from everyone there.

He returned home, but had to go back four days later when one of the broken ribs punctured a lung.

Following surgery to put in a chest tube, he was admitted to the surgical ward of the hospital for five days.

We have nothing but praise for the emergency room staff, the hospitalist in charge of his care while in the hospital, as well as the doctors and nurses that took care of him on a daily basis. They were very professional and so caring. They were attentive, kind and helpful in everything they did.

Also, the new way they handle meals is like being on a cruise ship. You have a menu with lots of choices. You turn in your order and they deliver it when you want it. They even have a special rate for family members who want to eat with their loved ones.

The hospital is very clean and the rooms are pleasant.

Everything about his stay leads us to say, "There is no place like home." A home-town hospital that is.

Congratulations Dickinson County Health Care System and keep up the good work.
