NEGAUNEE - Michigan State Police responded to a bomb threat and fire alarm early Sunday at the Days Inn in Marquette Township.

It was determined that there were no bombs and no fire, said troopers at the Negaunee post.

A subject had called in the bomb threat and also pulled a fire alarm shortly after 1 a.m., causing the evacuation of guests and employees at the motel, troopers said.

A male subject was taken into protective custody and transported to Marquette General Hospital for evaluation. His name was not being released at this time.

The Marquette City Police Department assisted in the investigation.
