KINGSFORD - Darlene J. Clash, 72, of Kingsford, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with her children at her side. She was born on March 24, 1941, in Kingsford, the daughter of the late William and Emma (Niles) Dykstra.
Darlene enjoyed listening to music and cooking and was known for making great spaghetti. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Darlene was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and Green Bay Packers fan.

Darlene married Leo Clash on Dec. 3, 1960, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death in 2006.
She is survived by five children, Terri Luthardt of Aurora, Wis., Tammy (Dan) Stewart of Fayetteville, N.C., Valerie (Bob) Westman of Homestead, Wis., Chris (Adonia Basso) of Kingsford, and Terence (Kelly) Gilliam of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Betty Lu VanNess of Kingsford, Elaine Divine of Kingsford, and Johanna (Steve) Cuggino of Norway; ten grandchildren, Jake and Jackie Luthardt, Ron (Thaty) and Russell Foskett, Danny Stewart, Brian Westman, Corey and Tyler Clash, and Ron and David Gilliam; one great-grandson, Ron Foskett Jr.; special friends Carol Scott of Florence, Wis., and Diane Saari of Kingsford; and many nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by an infant son, James; three brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Dr. Kevin Scott, Dr. John Lin, and the staff in the emergency department at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
