Trojans win, move to 5-0

WATERSMEET - A well-rested Forest Park squad put three players in double figures and hammered Watersmeet 66-39 in boys basketball Thursday evening.

"Overall, I was impressed," Trojans head coach Chris Nocerini said. "For being off two weeks, I was impressed with our energy tonight."

Austin Carlson led Forest Park with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Austin Snell dropped in 14 points, and Lee Graff scored 12.

"It was an overall team effort," Nocerini said. "The kids did an nice job."

Forest Park out-rebounded Watersmeet 55 to 31 and helped force the Nimrods into 20 turnovers.

"Watersmeet does have a nice team," Nocerini said. "They just lack height. They play very hard. I was impressed with their effort. We couldn't back off or let our guard down."

Forest Park improved to 5-0 with the win.

In jayvee action, Parker Sundell and Casey Sterio each poured in 10 points to fuel a 62-8 win.

The Trojans host Kingsford Tuesday.
