Tristian is the son of Alicia Nuernberg of Iron Mountain. He weighed in at 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches long.
The healthy baby boy was named in honor of his late aunt, Ashley Alm Vantroba, who passed away in 2011.
"If my sister had a baby, she wanted to name him Tristian," Alicia said. "He's named for her."
Alicia decided against waiting to find out the sex and knew it was a boy well before Thursday. She said she is ready for him to come home.
Tristian was born by Caesarean section at Dickinson County Hospital. His doctor was Dr. Alexis Whaley.
He is the grandson of proud grandparents Gerald and Julie Alm of Iron Mountain.
