FLORENCE, Wis. - The Florence County Historical Society will be hosting their annual Quilt Show and Strawberry Social on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will be held near the museum at 201 Florence Ave.

Set up for the quilt show will be on Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Judge House at the corner of Central Avenue and Furnace Street. A queen size quilt with the Town Square pattern will be the drawing prize on Sept. 12. Tickets will be available at the show and will continue to be sold until the drawing date.
Crafters are also welcome to participate in the event. An outdoor space can be purchased for $8 by calling the number listed above or printing the form from the website www.florencewihistory.org.
The museum at 201 Florence Ave. will be open the Saturday before the Quilt Show.
The new exhibit will feature schools from around the county. Information, pictures and artifacts will be on display from the more than 20 one-room schools as far back as 1883. Updates in several of the displays are also being done.
The museum will be open each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon starting June 14. During the month of July, Saturday hours will be extended from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
