The Brooks Bradley Memorial Scholarship was established by members of the Brooks and Bradley families in 2001. Donna Brooks graduated from Kingsford High School in 1969; she owns an excavation company in Florida and works in site construction. She remains an active benefactor with her family scholarship. Upon its inception, the original fund held $28,000. Today, it holds more than $180,000, of which the interest is used to fund annual renewable scholarships. More than $100,000 has been awarded to KHS graduates since 2002. The Brooks/Bradley scholarship is renewable for up to four years. This year, three $4,000 scholarships were offered to the seniors, from left Lauren Smith, Anna Shanks, and Morgan Marcell. Presenting the awards is Robert Usitalo, KHS assistant principal.
