Former Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jordy Nelson is retiring, according to multiple reports.

The news first broke Wednesday morning on Twitter. Nelson did not address the news before press time.

Nelson played 10 season including nine in Green Bay. He signed with the Raiders before the 2018 season.

His relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a crucial part of Green Bay’s sustained success through recent years. Nelson had 613 career receptions — 550 in Green Bay — for 8,587 yards and 72 touchdowns. He tallied 7,848 yards and 69 touchdowns with the Packers. Nelson missed the 2015 season with an injury and returned the following year with 97 catches for 1,257 yards and a career-high 14 TDs. He had a career-high 98 receptions in the 2014 season.

His only career rushing attempt, which came last year in Oakland, resulted in a 2-yard loss.

Nelson helped the Packers win the Super Bowl in 2010 and had a Pro Bowl appearance in 2014.

Nelson was a second round pick in the 2008 NFL draft.
