Badgers bow to Tigers

GILLETT, Wis. — Niagara ended the boys basketball regular season Saturday with a 65-42 loss to Gillett.

“We played OK in the first half,” said Niagara Coach Jim Hoogland. “We had way too many turnovers.

“In the end, Gillett just wanted it more.”

Niagara, down 31-24 at halftime, had 27 turnovers in the game.

Alex Hagerty’s 15 points and 10 rebounds led the Badgers, who travel to Wausaukee on Tuesday for a WIAA Division 5 regional opener.
