WAUSAUKEE, Wis. — Matt Delfosse scored 25 points and Wausaukee rallied past Niagara 58-49 in a WIAA Division 5 boys basketball regional opener Tuesday.

The Badgers (6-17) trailed 24-18 at halftime but moved ahead by five points with about six minutes remaining in the game, according to Niagara coach Jim Hoogland.

“I am so proud of how hard we played tonight,” Hoogland said.

Hayden Renikow chipped in 13 points and Brandon Shigouri had 12 for the Rangers (10-13), coached by Iron River native Dave Lindbeck.

Wausaukee travels to Green Bay NEW Lutheran on Friday in a regional semifinal.
