IRON RIVER — West Iron County downed Hancock 52-25 to clinch at least a share of the West PAC title Friday at Charles Greenlund Gymnasium.

James Swanson’s 13 points paced the Wykons (10-9, 7-1), who led 8-0 after the first quarter and 23-7 at halftime. Caden Pellizzer and Neil Tomasoski each chipped in nine for the Wykons.

“Everybody played a lot of minutes,” said WIC coach Dan Schive.

West Iron and Calumet both have one West PAC loss. The Copper Kings have league games remaining with Houghton and Hancock.

The Wykons close out the regular season Tuesday at Ishpeming.

A junior varsity game was not played.
