SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Lakeland University senior Maddy Doll, a senior from Florence, has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team for NCAA Division III District 6.
Doll was one of five student-athletes honored on the first team in District 6, which includes Division III schools in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She is Lakeland’s first academic all-district selection since Becky Mayo was named to the team in 2012.
Doll carries a 3.92 grade point average while majoring in biology at Lakeland.
This season she is averaging 9.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per game for the Muskies.
She leads the team in blocks and ranking second in rebounding and third in scoring.
The all-district teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada and voted on by members of CoSIDA.
First-team academic all-district honorees all advance to the ballot for the national CoSIDA Academic All-America teams, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in March.
