Niagara’s Racine named to All-M&O First Team

NIAGARA, Wis. — Niagara sophomore guard Jasmine Racine has been named to the All-M&O Conference girls basketball first team.

Crivitz sophomore Chloe Gruszynski, named the league’s most outstanding player, leads the first-team selections. Wausaukee sophomore Madelyn Schlies, chosen as the league’s best defensive player, also made the top squad with Oneida freshman Kenzey Ackley and Gillett senior Taylor Yonker.

The second team is comprised of Lena senior Ally Demmith, Crivitz sophomore Sianna Guns, Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy junior Alexa Pristelski, Oneida sophomore Sadie Shuman and Suring freshman Kylee Stelzer .

Niagara sophomore Cassie Gill and senior Maddie West received honorable mention with Cameron Compe of Coleman, Millie Benson of STAA, Aubrey DeBauch of Gillett,

Malie Jacobs and Yehil Rodriguez of Oneida, Paige Krueger of Suring, Lexi Oyer of Crivitz, Kaelyn Schlies of Wausaukee, and Brianna Sylvester of Lena.

Alex Hagerty receives HM

Niagara High School senior Alex Hagerty has been named honorable mention for the All-M&O Conference boys basketball team.

Jack Farley, a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas Academy in Marinette, earned the most outstanding player award from the coaches. He leads a first-team with seniors Travis Geise and Jakob Voss of Crivitz, senior Ryan Mahoney of Suring and senior Cole Woulf of Coleman.

Second-team picks are Oneida senior Seth Charles, Wausaukee senior Matt Delfosse, Gillett junior Cole Long, Coleman senior Austin Marquardt and Suring junior Mitch Stegeman.

In addition to Hagerty, honorable mention included

Shane Bauer of Crivitz, Colby Borchert of Lena, and Christian Hornick and Tyler Stuart of STAA.
