HERMANSVILLE — Crystal Falls McNeil Oilers will be participating in the 80th Gold Medal Classic.

Tournament director Raymond Bray said the Oilers will be joined by other longtime entries.

“The Stephenson Strollers have entered the Classic for the 80th time,” said Bray. “They will be led by the ageless Roger Grinstiener.

“The Oilers have entered the tournament in excess of 60 years. Kakuk’s of Daggett has joined the 60-year club.”

The independent basketball tournament will take place Thursday, April 5, through April 15 at the Community Center gym. Deadline entry is March 31.

The tournament features seven men’s and women’s divisions along with a junior high for boys and girls.
