IRON MOUNTAIN — Hailey Johnson and Adelaide McRoberts set Northern Lights YMCA Swim Team pool records during this month’s Midwest Regional meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.

The meet attracted over 1,000 swimmers from 10 Midwest states. NLY placed 22nd out of the 74 teams in attendance.

Hailey Johnson (age 15-18 division), Adelaide McRoberts (11-12), Kailey Matuszewski (8 and under) and Finn Conley were the top point-getters for the team.

Johnson placed fifth in both of her individual events (200-yard breaststroke and 100 breaststroke).

McRoberts finished fourth overall for individual high points in the age 11-12 division by placing in the top 10 in all of her individual events and accumulating 94 points.

McRoberts placed fourth in 50 butterfly, fifth in 100 butterfly, 50 backstroke and 50 breaststroke; and sixth in 100 breaststroke and 100 IM in her individual events.

Matuszewski’s performance was highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 200 IM (age 8 and under division) and accumulating 48.5 points.

A team representative noted Finn Conley (age 8 and under division) turned in an impressive showing by finishing third in the 50 backstroke, fourth in 25 backstroke, and sixth in 50 butterfly. Conley accumulated 50 points for the team during the meet.
