Edgewood announces commitment from Flivvers’ Kriegl

MADISON, Wis. – Edgewood College women’s basketball coach Chaia (VanGoethem) Huff has announced that Kingsford’s Jordyn Kriegl and three other high school seniors have committed to the Eagle program for next year.

Kriegl, a 5-foot-7 guard, was the Great Northern Conference Player of the Year as a senior and a three-time all-league first team player. She was named second team All-UP, and earned honorable mention all-state.

Ranked No. 1 in her class academically, she received Edgewood College’s Presidential Honors Scholarship.

Edgewood’s recruiting class also includes Maryn Ferron, a 5-8 guard from two-time state champion Beaver Dam, along with Mady Pahl and Lexi Walter, a pair of 6-foot forwards from Hortonville.

Huff, in her second season with the Eagles, guided the youngest team in any division in the NCAA last season to an 11-14 record.
