Iron River tennis ace

Holden Ross, a sophomore at West Iron County High School, won the United States Tennis Association’s Northern Michigan District 16-year-old boys tennis title in Traverse City. Ross, 2018 UP Division 2 Player of the Year, qualified to play in the Midwest Level Closed Championships in Indianapolis on June 23. He competes this weekend in a team tournament at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Marquette’s Alec Olivier qualified for the 18-year-old USTA tournament in Indianapolis.
