SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Miranda Jacobson filled the stat sheet with 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists in front of a big gathering of her fans Saturday.

The senior from Felch helped Lakeland University women’s basketball team cruise to a 74-31 win over winless Marian University at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.

The Muskies (6-2, 3-1) held the Sabres to 22 percent in winning their third straight game.

Jacobson played in front of a large number of fans who made the trip down from her home area of northern Dickinson County.

She came near a triple-double in just 24 minutes of play, leading the Muskies in scoring and rebounds, made 6 of 10 shots from the field and all four of her free throws and also added two steals.

Kraemer leads Bay

MILWAUKEE — Norway’s Jordan Kraemer powered Bay College to a fourth straight women’s basketball road win Saturday.

Kraemer tallied 22 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals as the Norse (8-5) defeated Milwaukee Area Technical College 75-61.

“Five games in eight days has been tough on them both mentally and physically, but we were still able to keep up our pressure and pull out the win,” said Bay Coach Rob Robinson.

Bay scored the game’s first 14 points and blew out winless Harper Community College 70-19 on Friday. Kraemer had 14 points and six rebounds.

The Norse will be at the Gogebic Winter Classic in Ironwood this weekend.
