Boys basketball: Florence dominates White Lake, 105-34

FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence started 2019 by sinking White Lake 105-34 in Northern Lakes Conference action Thursday.

The Bobcats (5-3, 4-1), playing without leading scorer Kaden Schuls (flu), owned a 46-19 halftime lead.

“It’s nice to get a win after Christmas break,” said Florence head coach Bryan Bomberg. “Everybody got involved and handled themselves in a classy manner.”

Riley Hixon scored 26 points with five assists and four steals. Evan Beaster had 26 points and 20 rebounds. Freshmen Patrick Milan and Preston Stoltz each had 16 points.

Florence visits Goodman on Tuesday. The Bobcats will host Three Lakes on Friday, Jan. 11, and honor the 1989 state championship basketball team.
