ESCANABA — Petoskey beat Kingsford 12-1 in six innings to advance in the MHSAA Division 2 District 33 tournament.

Escanaba beat Cheboygan 8-2 in the other matchup to set the semifinal games. Petoskey faces Sault Ste. Marie at noon EDT Saturday. The Eskymos play Marquette at 2:30 p.m and the district championship is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.

It’s the Flivvers’ second straight district loss to Petoskey after losing 10-0 in last year’s semifinal.
