Northern Stars teams claim three soccer titles

NIAGARA, Wis. — Niagara Northern Stars Soccer Club teams enjoyed a successful year, with three teams finishing on top in the East Central Soccer District.

U12 Boys, coached by Jim Laydon, earned 24 points. This team ended their season undefeated at 8-0 with an impressive goal differential of 35.

Don Gribble coached the U15 Boys to a strong 6-1-1 record. Gribble’s team edged out the second place team by one goal.

The U19 Boys team, many of whom have played together for 10 years, finished their year at 7-1. The U19 team is coached by Greg Kulas, who has guided the team all 10 years.

Bob Martonen’s U15 Girls had a challenging schedule, finishing 2-6. This team kept their opponents close in most of their games.

The Northern Stars Executive Board would like to thank the coaches for their dedication to their players, families and the sport.
