Wykons hold off Broncos
IRON RIVER — West Iron scored all of its points in the third quarter, holding off Bark River-Harris 29-14 on Friday in the West Pac Iron Division.
Trey Bociek ran for two scores and completed 8 of 15 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown to pace the Wykons. Nathan Thomson rushed for 71 yards and a TD on eight carries.
“We played real well in the second half, flying to the football and holding our blocks,” said West Iron coach Mike Berutti. “We stopped ourselves twice in the first half.”
Gage Larson and Nolan Anderson were the defensive leaders. Blake Lindberg had an interception.
The Wykons (2-0) will host Manistique on Friday.
