MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan (1-4, 0-3) heads to Michigan Tech (2-2, 0-2) Saturday to play for the Miner’s Cup in a clash of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rivals.

The game will be broadcast nationally on the GLIAC’s Facebook page, the DII Facebook page and the DII Twitter page as well as the NMU Athletics Facebook page. Local audiences will be able to view the game on TV6 as well.

The all-time series dates back to 1920 and Saturday’s matchup will be the 92nd meeting. The Wildcats hold the longest winning streak in the series, winning each matchup from 1956 through the 2000 season. The winner of the annual matchup also takes home the Miner’s Cup.
