IM jayvees: 6-0 record
IRON MOUNTAIN — Coach Ty Thomann’s Mountaineer jayvees defeated Calumet 20-14 in West PAC Copper Division action Thursday, improving to 6-0 on the season.
Gabe Richtig led the rushing attack for IM with 94 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns. Brandon Farragh added 67 yards on 13 carries to go with eight tackles defensively.
Quarterback Joey Colavecchi was 2 for 6 passing with a touchdown toss to Preston Roberts.
Defensively, Luke Decker recovered a fumble and intercepted two Calumet passes. Colavecchi also had an interception. Michael Talerico led the team with 11 tackles and Hunter Fortner added nine.
Iron Mountain travels to Hancock next week.
