41 Lumber Pee Wees split vs. Green Bay

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Dickinson Amateur Hockey Association 41 Lumber Pee Wees (12U) skated to a split against Green Bay Bobcats Pee Wee A, falling 4-2 in the first game before earning a 5-2 win in the second, Saturday at Mountain View Ice Arena.

Goal scorers for 41 Lumber included Ted Pennala, Trinton Butterfield, Jacob Deuter and Kaleb Fornetti. Jaxon Buckley recorded a hat trick in the second game, which included an empty-net goal during a four-goal outburst in the final period by 41 Lumber.

Jack Supanich had two assists in the games. Butterfield and Fornetti also notched assists.

Goalie Nathan Scullon made 36 saves in the first game and 27 more in game two.

The 41 Lumber squad travels to Houghton Sunday.

The Stephens Real Estate Pee Wees battled in Marquette last weekend, falling 8-2 and 8-0.

“We’re proud of the players’ spirit and resilience, as they were up against a much more skilled Marquette team,” a team spokesperson noted.

Noah Trulock and Jack Spreen netted goals for Stephens Real Estate. Ted Spence and Carter Steber had assists. Goalie Alex Hemgren stopped many shots.

Stephens Real Estate heads to regional play Saturday at Iron River. The Kaizen Way to Wellness 10U squirts are also at regional play at Iron River Saturday.
