Niagara boys come up short

NIAGARA, Wis. — Niagara’s balanced scoring went for naught as the Badgers dropped a 48-46 decision to St. Thomas Aquinas Academy in M&O Conference boys basketball Thursday.

Josh Weber led the Badgers with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Sladen Dunlap added 10 points and Edward Swanson and Dawson Lincoln scored eight apiece.

Niagara lets its chances slip away at the free throw line, converting just 3 of 13.

St. Thomas (3-5, 4-8) got 20 points from Kadin Baxter.

Niagara (1-6, 3-7) will travel to Suring on Tuesday.

The Niagara junior varsity won 44-27, led by Nick Krueger, 12 points, and Ross Champeau, 11.
