Schultz scores 29, Nordic boys beat Cougars, 66-51

FELCH — Behind a game-high 29 points from Cameron Schultz, including six trifectas, North Dickinson defeated Superior Central 66-51 at the Carl F. Lemin Jr. gymnasium Thursday night.

“We played well, coming out hot, scoring 27 points in the first period,” ND head coach Chris Mattson said. “It’s always good to win a Skyline conference game.”

Sophomore Maximus Mattson added a season-high 20 points for the Nordics (2-5), while Brennan Donaldson chipped in eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Justin Slagle also got in the scorebook for the Nordics with nine points.

The Cougars were led by Parker Maki with 19 points.

In the JV game, the Nordics defeated the Cougars, 45-39, for their second win of the season.

The Nordics return to action Monday when they travel to Norway for another Skyline Central conference game.
