Iron Mountain youth wrestler Emily Lautzenheiser was awarded the Alaina Berube Top Female Wrestling Award at a Feb. 8 Escanaba event. The award is given to the top eighth grade female wrestler. Lautzenheiser has been involved with Iron Mountain youth wrestling since she was 4 years old. She is a two-time all-American wrestler and placed second at the Nuway Nationals in Lansing in 2019. She posted her 100th pin at the beginning of the season, and her 200th win by the end of the 2019 season. This is her last year as a member of the Iron Mountain Youth Wrestling team and she plans on joining the Iron Mountain High School team.
