FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence made quick work of Bowler in a WIAA Division 5 regional softball opener Monday, winning 15-0 in three innings.

The Bobcats will host Niagara at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Sidney Tomczak pitched the shutout, allowing two hits and walking none. She struck out five.

“I can’t say enough about her pitching,” said Florence coach Dan Robinson. “She’s on target.”

Florence scored seven runs in the first inning and tacked on eight in the second. “Good patience at the plate,” Robinson said.

Isabella Millan led the way with three hits, while Tomczak and Paige Uren added two apiece. Lacey Enders ripped a triple and Florence also got hits from Ashelyn White, Madison Johnson, Vicki Peterson and Leighton Lambert.
