NEGAUNEE — Division 1 boys and girls champion Marquette led the postseason awards announced by the Upper Peninsula Cross Country Coaches Association.

Marquette was named the Division 1 Team of the Year for both its boys and girls squads.

Maria Murvich of Kingsford was named to the All-U.P. Dream Team for girls.

Rudyard was named the girls’ Division 2 Team of the Year, while the honor for the boys went to Jeffers in Division 2 and Forest Park in Division 3.

L’Anse and Newberry shared the Division 3 girls honor.

Marquette coaches Kyle Detmers and Mike Leannes were named the Division 1 Coach of the Year while Houghton’s Traci Welch also shared in the honor in Division 1. Rudyard’s Mike Kirschner won it in Division 2 and Forest Park’s DJ Rasner in Division 3.

Sault Ste. Marie’s Gabe Litzner was named Boys Runner of the Year, while Pickford’s Talya Schreiber earned Girls Runner of the Year.
