AURORA, Wis. — The Homestead-Aurora Conservation Club will host its annual Pete “Toad” Church Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, Jan. 19, coinciding with Wisconsin’s free fishing weekend.

Participants must pre-register at the Hitch-N-Post or Bob’s Midland in Aurora; Whisler Outdoors in Florence, Wis.; or Pat’s on Mane in Niagara, Wis.

Fish anywhere and register your catch at the Hitch-N-Post by 6 p.m.

Entry fee is $7. Children 12 and under can pre-register for free with an adult. Categories include walleye, northern pike, perch, crappie and bluegill/pumpkinseed.

There will be door prizes and cash prizes. Proceeds will go directly to local fish stocking.
