Badwater tourney set for July 13

KINGSFORD ANGLERS RODNEY DeClark and John Trulock, with a total catch of 18 pounds, took first place in the 2018 Badwater Bass Tourney, claiming a prize of $1,383.75.

Anglers are invited to register for the Badwater Bass Tourney, which takes place July 13 on the Twin Falls Flowage in Spread Eagle, Wis.

The cost is $75 per boat, with up to 50 boats allowed. Cash prizes will be paid to the first seven places; eighth through10th places will receive donated

prizes.

The heaviest single bass will win a Lowrance fishfinder donated by Nine Lakes Sport & Marine.

There is a guaranteed cash pot of $2,400. If all 50 boats register, the pot will be $3,562.

This is a catch-and-release tournament using artificial baits only.

Either a Wisconsin or Michigan license can be used on this border water.

All boats must check in at 5 a.m. at Vagabond Park on U.S. 2 on July 13 for a 6 a.m. start.

The official weigh-in begins at 2 p.m. The public is welcome to come watch the weigh-in.
