Long Lake club hosts trap shoot
LONG LAKE, Wis. — The Big 4-Plus Sportsman’s Club hosted its annual autumn trap shoot at the clubhouse in Long Lake on Saturday.
There were 33 entries in the 50-bird Lewis shoot. The shoot paid out five classes, with the winner of each class receiving $46. Ties were broken by sudden death shoot-offs.
The class winners, all from Wisconsin, and their scores were: Class A, Ed Borske, Alvin, 50; Class B, Bill Kramer, Lena, 47; Class C, Ed Borske, Alvin, 46; Class D, Colby Nikula, Salem, 44; and Class E, Harry Welhouse, Two Rivers, 40.
There also was a consolation prize for scores under 35. Wesley DeVore of Iron River took the $33 purse.
Lewis Class shooters could also enter the options competitions. Each option paid out $26 after a successful shoot-off. Borske won 25 on Traps 1 and 2 and High Gun, and JoAnne Smith of Tipler won the Ladies High Gun Purse.
