IRON MOUNTAIN — The Upper Peninsula Sportsmen’s Alliance will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the United Sportsmen’s Club in Merriman.

Upper Peninsula lawmakers are scheduled to attend, along with Shannon Hanna, deputy director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Hanna, who assumed her most current post in June, has more than 20 years of experience with the DNR, most recently as assistant chief of the department’s Forest Resources Division since January 2018.

The Upper Peninsula Sportsmen’s Alliance represents clubs throughout Michigan and Wisconsin totaling members in excess of 50,000, said David J. Johnson, president.

House and Senate bills will be reviewed at the Nov. 2 meeting.
