JV Football: Bobcats wing Eagles

FLORENCE, Wis. — Michael Milan rushed for 95 yards on three carries and scored twice as Florence defeated Stephenson 38-6 in eight-player junior varsity football.

Andy Hirn added 92 yards on seven carries, scoring a touchdown and a pair of two-point conversions. Zach Seibold had 81 yards rushing with a touchdown.

Corbin Behrmann had a 36-yard touchdown and Kyle Leffler ran for a two-point conversion. Austin Hoey rounded out the scoring with a two-point conversion run in the third quarter.

Matthew Johnson and Austin Hoey led the defense with nine tackles each while Michael Milan contributed seven and Hirn added five.

In another eight-player game, Rapid River rolled over Florence 46-28.

Andy Hirn’s 50-yard run was Florence’s lone first-half score. He finished with 129 total yards on 13 carries, adding a touchdown run and two two-point conversions in the fourth quarter.

Michael Milan led all rushers with 133 yards on five carries, scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter on 20 and 75-yard runs.

On defense, Matthew Johnson had seven tackles, followed by Patrick Milan, six; Michael Milan, five; Andy Hirn, five; Austin Hoey, four; and Corbin Behrmann, four.
